Whew, I have been slinging some paint!
I have a show in Myrtle Beach next weekend called the St. Patrick's Day Festival in Ocean Drive, North Myrtle. I have been working on the booth all week. The new pro-panels look just fantastic. I noticed that most artist use black. I designed the walls with the sides in black and the back wall in tan. I enjoy putting the birds on a black background due to the fact I am just a horrible landscaper. I will wear myself out wondering if the composition is correct? Is the subject matter in front? It is just exhausting. So since January I have worked on one thing on my long list of painting corrections, for the start of this year it is good color mixing.
I have my application into a show in Florida and a show in Charleston. Both I really have worked very hard for and have the web site up to date due to the fact judges need one more push sometimes and a well done web page can help. I did my myself due to the private preview I will give the galleries. They just love to see them in private and clip into their own web sites. I start painting the day after Christmas to get ready for spring, between the galleries and the new shows it can really creep up on you.
As for me I am at the gallery on a Saturday making sure all the labels are correct and the prices and sizes match. Hope it is a good show it is a dry run for some of the bigger ones.
